Is Sage Academy Granbury a good fit for your family?
A Journey for the Whole Family
When a young hero enrolls in Sage Academy, it becomes a journey for the whole family, because Sage Academy recognizes the essential role parents play in their child's education. Families are encouraged to actively participate in their hero's learning journey by celebrating their progress, supporting them, and engaging in meaningful discussions at home.

Will my child have the same teachers and classroom?Yes. The heart of LGMA - its caring, experienced educators - will remain. Maintaining the trusted relationship between your children and their teachers is a top priority. We are currently seeking a teaching assistant for the Primary Classroom for the Fall, to take the place of Mrs. Macy, who will be home with her new baby. If you know someone that might be a good fit, please share this link with them.
-
Will the school name or branding change?Yes. Over time, you’ll begin to see the name Sage Academy Spark in place of LGMA. This new name reflects our connection to the broader Sage Academy programs—including elementary, and eventually middle and high school—and highlights the spark of curiosity and capability we believe every child carries within them. You’ll also notice a few shifts in language: Our classrooms are now called Studios Teachers are referred to as Guides Children are called Learners The campus will continue to serve both Toddler and Primary learners, now known as the Toddler Studio and Primary Studio, located in the Spark Building. The Primary Studio will transition to a traditional Montessori age range of 3–6 years. As always, learners move on to a new studio when they have mastered their current environment and are socially and emotionally ready for the next step. This honors each learner’s unique pace and supports a strong foundation for lifelong growth.
-
Will school hours, calendar, or daily schedule change?LGMA/Sage Academy Spark will continue to follow the Granbury ISD calendar, with only minor adjustments. The 2025-2026 calendar for LGMA/Sage Academy Spark can be found here. The daily schedule and rhythm of the classroom will remain consistent with what families are already familiar with.
-
Will tuition rates change? There are no immediate tuition changes. We are committed to keeping high-quality early childhood education accessible, as well as paying our hard-working teachers a fair wage. Any adjustments will be communicated clearly and well in advance. As part of this transition, we will also be moving to a digital payment system to streamline tuition processing and offer families a more convenient, secure way to manage payments.
-
Will the Montessori curriculum still be followed?Absolutely. We deeply value Montessori principles and believe they form a strong foundation for independent, confident learners. The Montessori method will remain the cornerstone of the primary program.
-
Will drop-off/pick up procedures stay the same?Yes. No changes will be made to arrival or dismissal procedures.
-
Is the leadership team changing? Who should I contact with questions or concerns? You'll still see the familiar faces you know and trust: Beth Martin will continue her role as Director, now in a full-time capacity. You may reach her at beth@sageacademygranbury.com Tasha Skeen-Richard, co-founder of Sage Academy, will be the Head of School, overseeing both Sage Academy and LGMA. You may reach her at tasha@sageacademygranbury.com We have a Parent Info Night planned on June 7, 6:00 PM for current LGMA families. We invite you to attend if you have further questions. What is the long-term vision for the preschool and elementary programs? Our goal is to preserve what's working at LGMA while continuing to nurture learner growth as each child moves toward elementary age. For families who choose to continue their child's journey at Sage Academy Discovery (the elementary program), our vision is to offer a seamless path from Sage Academy Spark to Sage Academy Discovery. Both Sage Academy and Montessori education emphasize independence, hands-on learning, and respect for the child. The Discovery elementary studio builds on these Montessori foundations by gradually inviting learners to take more ownership of their education through real-world projects, goal setting, and collaboration. Over the next few years we plan to grow with our learners, creating a full, learner-driven experience from early childhood through graduation: - Year 1, we will build a new elementary building to increase our capacity - in 3 years, we aim to open a Middle School - in 5 years, we plan to open a high school More information about Middle School and High School learning design can be found HERE.
