Discovery Studio offers a Montessori-inspired, learner-driven educational model focused on self-direction, mastery learning, and character development to foster lifelong learners.

We operate a full-day program on a non-traditional, 11-month calendar running September through mid-July. Drop off is 7:45 to 8:15 and pickup is 3:15.

Learners have up to 90 minutes of outdoor time daily, and whenever possible, we bring both learning activities and lunch outdoors. We deeply value play as a vital part of learning, embracing unstructured play and the science of risky play to promote physical development, problem-solving skills, and confidence-building in a safe, supervised environment.

Parents send learners to school daily with a lunch box, snack and water bottle. We do not provide any meals.

To ensure all learners remain healthy, we ask parents to keep children home when they show symptoms of contagious illness. Detailed policies are outlined in our Family Handbook. While we have 180 instructional days per year, we do not have a traditional truancy policy, because we believe meaningful learning happens both inside and outside the classroom.
