Meet Ms. Whitney
Grounded, Experienced, and Heart for Early Childhood
With a degree in Child Development, years of leadership in early learning environments, and three Spark learners of her own, Whitney brings both professional expertise and personal investment to the Spark community.

About Whitney
Whitney Woerner joins the Sage Academy Spark team with a Bachelor of Science in Child Development from Tarleton State University and extensive experience in early childhood leadership. She previously served as Director of the Ranger College Child Development Center, where she oversaw daily operations, supported staff development, managed budgets, and mentored future educators through the center’s internship program.
In addition to her professional experience, Whitney is also a Spark parent. She has three children who have attended — and currently attend — Spark, giving her a unique dual perspective as both a guide and a mother within our community. She understands firsthand the trust families place in our studios and the importance of clear communication, consistency, and integrity in the classroom.
Whitney approaches her role with professionalism and clear boundaries, honoring the prepared Montessori environment and the independence of each learner — including her own children. Her background in leadership, compliance, and child development equips her to preserve the structure, respect, and intentionality that define the Montessori model.
After dedicating the past year and a half to being a stay-at-home mother, Whitney returns to the classroom with renewed purpose and a deep appreciation for the formative early years.
