About Mrs. Kristina
Kristina Smith is an Assistant Guide in the Toddler Studio at Sage Academy. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Nutritional Sciences from Texas A&M University, and her path into education began organically—babysitting, nannying, and eventually discovering a calling in early childhood development.
Kristina’s formal teaching journey began at Kinderplatz of Fine Arts in Fort Worth, where she first worked as an assistant in the toddler room. She quickly realized her natural connection with young children and stepped into a lead teaching role in the Primary program, where she taught for five years.
After moving to Granbury and becoming a mother, Kristina was intentional about finding a school for her son that met her own high expectations for quality care and learning. She found that in Lake Granbury Montessori Academy—now Sage Academy Spark—and what began as a substitute role soon grew into a full-time position where she’s thrived for the past four years.
