Meet Ms. Jamie
Head Guide, Co-Founder, and Champion of Learner-Led Education
With over a decade of teaching experience and a passion for meaningful, modern education, Jamie helps lead Sage Academy with vision and heart—mentoring fellow guides and guiding learners full time in the Discovery Studio.
About Mrs. Jamie
Jamie is the Head Guide and Co-Founder of Sage Academy, where she leads the Discovery Studio for learners ages 6–10 and supports the mentoring and development of Spark and Discovery Guides.
With a background in both early childhood and middle school education, Jamie holds a degree in Elementary Education from Loyola Marymount University and Texas teaching certifications in Early Childhood–6th Grade and English Language Arts for Grades 4–8. Before becoming a mom, she taught 8th grade English in Weatherford and discovered her love of working with learners across a wide range of ages and abilities.
Today, she’s not only an educator, but a Spark parent too. Her two children attend Sage Academy, and her personal stake in the school’s success adds depth to everything she does—whether leading a studio discussion or coaching a fellow guide.
What She Loves About Early Childhood
Certified Texas educator (EC–6 and ELA 4–8)
Degree in Elementary Education from Loyola Marymount University
Leads the Discovery Studio (ages 6–10)
Jamie believes children thrive when given freedom within structure, opportunities to collaborate, and ownership of their learning. She's passionate about helping children build not just knowledge, but purpose, grit, and self-awareness.
Inside the Discovery Studio, Jamie fosters a culture of curiosity, independence, and peer support. As Head Guide, she mentors other educators to help maintain that same standard across all studios.

Jamie brings a unique blend of classroom expertise, leadership, and parent perspective to her role. Families can expect her to be calm, prepared, and highly communicative. As Head Guide, she supports a strong studio culture across teams and classrooms. As a Discovery Studio guide, she creates space for learners to explore their potential with purpose, responsibility, and joy.
