With over 15 years of experience in Montessori classrooms and a lifelong passion for early childhood, Jan brings wisdom, warmth, and deep-rooted care to the Spark Program community.
About Mrs. Jan
Jan has dedicated her life to nurturing young children through the Montessori method. As a certified Montessori educator with more than 15 years of classroom experience—plus 10 of those years working closely with toddlers—she brings unmatched insight, steadiness, and heart to her work.
Her journey in early childhood began long before her certification. From babysitting at age 10 to working as a nanny for 7 years, Jan’s commitment to supporting young learners has always been deeply personal. In fact, the children she once cared for as a nanny attended the very school she now serves—formerly Lake Granbury Montessori, now Sage Academy's Spark Program.
Jan’s presence and deep respect for each child’s individuality create a grounded, joyful environment where learners are free to explore, grow, and thrive.

For Jan, early childhood is a time of wonder, discovery, and tremendous growth. She is passionate about the Montessori approach to independence, grace and courtesy, and hands-on exploration.
Whether working with toddlers or Primary-aged children, Jan is attentive to the rhythms of each day—supporting toileting with care, modeling gentle social interactions, and celebrating every small milestone along the way.
